Financial Storytelling
Financial storytelling serves as a powerful tool for understanding the intricate intersections of health and wealth in individuals’ lives. By amplifying diverse voices and experiences, this approach illuminates the specific cultural, social, and economic contexts that influence both financial stability and health outcomes.
Framing
Through these narratives, we can gain deeper insights into how financial decisions impact physical and mental well-being, as well as how health challenges can affect one’s financial situation.
Ultimately, the knowledge gained from these stories will guide the development of targeted strategies that promote better health and financial knowledge, fostering resilience and sustainable success within communities for generations to come.
Data
Financial storytelling serves as a powerful tool to convey the unique challenges and triumphs of first-generation college students navigating their educational journeys. Through a grant from the TIAA Institute, the study in this area is evaluating how over 40 students articulate their financial experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of their needs and aspirations. By highlighting their narratives, the project aims to inform strategies that enhance financial knowledge and build wealth for future generations.
